Job summary

HTC Global Services seeks an AI/ML Engineer to build intelligent data products transforming complex engineering data into actionable insights. You will bridge architecture through implementation to ownership, tackling data quality, scale, and reliability to support search, analytics, and decision-making.

The role involves designing production RAG systems, embedding retrieval, and crafting explainable AI workflows, with emphasis on scalable cloud and IaC patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 5+ years of production software/data/ML systems experience.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Cloud platforms, managed data services, object storage, containers, and distributed workloads.
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines or distributed processing for large datasets.
• Hands-on with LLMs including prompt design, structured outputs, tool use, evaluation, and production monitoring.
• Knowledge of embeddings, vector retrieval, RAG, and model limitations.
• Experience with software engineering fundamentals: testing, code review, version control, CI/CD, observability, secure development.
• Ability to diagnose production problems with data-driven approaches.
• Experience with workflow orchestration or batch scheduling.
• Experience with AI and expert systems.
• Experience with GCP and APIs.
• Experience with data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate reliable data products at enterprise scale.
• Create resilient batch and near-real-time data workflows with observability and runbooks.
• Develop production Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for engineeringUse cases.
• Design agentic AI workflows to decompose questions, select data sources and tools, and provide explainable results with citations.
• Develop embeddings, document understanding, and multimodal inference pipelines balancing quality, latency, and cost.
• Lead cloud architecture, containerization, IaC, and CI/CD for secure deployments.
• Own system reliability from design to production, investigating incidents and capacity planning.
• Deliver analytics experiences and decision-support tools for engineers, teams, and leadership.
• Establish data quality, lineage, validation, and governance practices.
