Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an AI/ML Engineer III to build, test and deploy machine learning models, and to support integration of AI capabilities into production systems across our technology platforms.

The role includes collaboration with engineering and product partners, feature engineering, data preprocessing, and developing automated ML training pipelines, with a hybrid schedule of 3 in-person days at core locations (Salisbury, Quincy or Chicago) and 2 remote days.

Formación

• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, CS, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field required.
• 5+ years of AI/ML engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Python and ML libraries.
• Understanding of deep learning and generative AI fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

The AI/ML Engineer III builds machine learning models, implements training and evaluation workflows, and supports integration of AI capabilities into production environments.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office location for this role is Salisbury, NC, Chicago, IL or Quincy, MA.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field required; equivalent advanced experience in applied data science may be considered.
• 5+ years of AI/ML engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Python, ML libraries, and model evaluation techniques.
• Understanding of deep learning and generative AI fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud ML platforms.

Salary Range: $125,040 - $187,560

Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
