Job summary

VDart Inc. seeks an AI/ML Engineer for a hybrid Chicago-based contract role focused on GenAI, LLMs, and agentic AI systems. You will drive end-to-end design, implement scalable architectures, and ensure secure production readiness.

You will mentor senior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and steward best practices in Python, microservices, and containerized deployments on Azure/AWS.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience with GenAI applications including LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering and agentic AI concepts.
• Exposure to agentic frameworks including LangChain, LangGraph, Microsoft Foundry Agent Service and AWS Bedrock.

Job description

Job Title: AI/ML Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Type: Contract

Core GenAI Expertise:

Hands on experience working with GenAI applications including LLMs, RAG architecture, prompt engineering and Agentic AI concepts. Exposure to agentic frameworks including LangChain, LangGraph, Microsoft Foundry Agent Service and AWS Bedrock.

GenAI Ops Experience:

Strong understanding of the end to end GenAI operationalization lifecycle, including solution design and engineering, secure deployment, horizontal scaling, and production observability for GenAI workloads.

Cloud, Platform & Scalability Skills:

Experience with multiple cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), deep understanding of distributed systems, containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code(Terraform, ARM/Bicep)

Software Engineering Excellence:

Strong software engineering foundation with hands on experience in Python development, microservices based architectures, and secure coding and data handling practices suited for enterprise scale, regulated environments.

Technical Leadership & Influence:

Demonstrated technical leadership to set architectural direction, guide critical design decisions, and mentor senior engineers. Proven ability to translate complex business problems into secure, scalable, and resilient AI solutions
