Job summary

DCSA Acquisition and Technology, National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) is seeking a Computer Scientist/Data Engineer (GG-13) to serve as a technical advisor. The role focuses on developing advanced AI/ML, NLP, and cloud data architectures to safeguard the federal workforce.

Required strong programming skills (Python/SQL) and containerization expertise. The incumbent may work with DoD and federal data environments, with potential telework eligibility under security constraints.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional work in computer science, including data science, AI/ML, system analysis, risk analysis, predictive analysis and simulations.
• Develops new technology approaches to enhance intelligence through advanced engineering and computer science.
• Creates analytical tools to process large data sets and derive actionable insights.
• Plans and develops software to adapt to changing data requirements and support mission needs.
• Implements strategies for system development, budgeting, and performance management.
