Job summary

Western Governors University is seeking an Evaluator to review students’ assessments and determine mastery of learning objectives and course competencies. You will provide accurate feedback to help students progress through their programs in a timely and personalized manner.

The role requires staying current with evaluation processes and applying updated strategies across new course objectives, collaborating with teammates to ensure consistent scoring and continual improvement of evaluation

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in an AI- or machine learning-related field paired with a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• OR : A Bachelor’s degree in an AI-related field paired with a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in engineering
• OR : degree(s) in engineering paired with at least 2 years in AI/ML, Power Industry, RF/Telecom or related industry experience
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse learner profiles
• Ability to work a student-friendly schedule (evenings/weekends)

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate assessments to determine students’ mastery of learning objectives and course competencies.
• Prepare accurate, helpful, and consistent feedback to help students develop course competencies.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership when evaluating new and complex assessments to ensure consistent evaluation ratings.
• Review evaluation feedback from team members and leaders, apply input as needed to ensure evaluation methods align with department and team expectations.
