Job summary

Outlier is seeking detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media. You will roleplay live conversations with an AI voice model, score exchanges, and explain what looked or sounded off, all remotely and on your own schedule.

At Outlier, your work helps shape how advanced AI systems reason and improve. You will compare AI-generated images and videos to judge adherence to prompts and write English explanations that highlight findings for real-world AI performance.

Qualifications

• Fluent English and clear written communication with everyday conversational speech.
• Excellent attention to detail and patience to replay or zoom in to spot issues.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferable.
• Comfortable thinking on your feet and discussing realistic scenarios clearly.
• Experience writing short, evidence-based explanations or reviews.
• Ability to make clear decisions when both options have flaws.
• Currently accepting applicants from: Australia, Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, United States.

Responsibilities

• Holding live, scenario-based conversations in English with AI voice models, then ranking how natural, useful, and clear each one sounded.
• Comparing pairs of AI-generated images and videos and judging which follows the prompt better.
• Inspecting outputs closely, including zooming in and replaying, to spot problems like distorted anatomy, flickering or unnatural motion, text errors, and audio-video mismatches.
• Rating each output across dimensions like adherence, quality, and realism, then writing a specific explanation in English.
