Job summary

Instructure, Inc. is seeking a proactive engineer to build and scale AI-powered tools for our marketing teams, covering content generation, meeting prep, and workflow automation. You will partner with the AI Incubator and Marketing Tech to deliver production-ready solutions that enhance productivity and output quality.

You will prototype, test, and deploy tools, document usage, and train teams on best practices, while maintaining guardrails around data and brand voice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in marketing technology, automation, software, or a comparable technical role.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs: writing and iterating prompts, evaluating output quality, and working within context limits.
• Comfort with APIs, webhooks, automation platforms (Zapier/Make), and basic scripting (Python).
• Strong written communication and ability to create usable documentation for teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production AI tools for marketing teams, including content generators and workflow integrations.
• Write, test, and iterate prompts; version changes and track effectiveness.
• Build integrations between AI tools and the marketing tech stack using APIs and automation platforms.
• Take tools from prototype to production, monitor outputs, tune prompts, and ship improvements based on feedback.
