AI/Machine Learning Engineer, Senior Consultant

The opportunity

Our Artificial Intelligence and Data team applies cutting-edge technology to develop solutions for our clients. You will work directly with clients and diverse EY teams to create innovative solutions to challenging problems, many of which are unprecedented. This role involves continuous learning, research, and development, allowing you to build broad knowledge applicable to various projects. You will be at the forefront of transforming how businesses leverage AI, researching, building, and deploying scalable AI systems tailored to different environments, whether cloud-based or on-premises. You will improve data pipelines, ensure data quality, and collaborate with a talented team of data professionals.

Your key responsibilities

• Research and implement scalable AI systems aligned with business needs.
• Enhance data pipelines and storage for accuracy and cleanliness.
• Monitor and optimize learning processes for high-performance models.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (4-year).
• 3-6 years of experience in AI and/or Machine Learning.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Generative AI models like OpenAI, LLMs, Dall-e, LlamaIndex, Langchain, RAG.
• Experience with ML packages such as scikit-learn, Pytorch, ONNX.
• Experience with DevOps tools (GIT, Azure DevOps), Agile tools (Jira).
• Understanding of ML workflows, MLOps platforms (MLFlow), CI/CD, and test-driven development.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying ML models on cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of data structures, data modeling, software engineering best practices.
• Proficiency with data tools like SQL, Pandas, Spark.
• Experience with containerization, scaling models, and integrating models with downstream systems.
• Strong mathematical, statistical, and operations research skills.
• Understanding of natural language processing and image processing techniques.
• Willingness to travel for client engagements.

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience with hybrid collaboration, emotional agility, and diverse teams.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in tech.
• Skills in additional languages (R, JavaScript, Java, C++, C).
• Experience fine-tuning Generative AI models.
