Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Quality Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing across APIs, web, and mobile platforms, with focus on AI-assisted tooling and scalable CI/CD integration.

You will mentor junior QA staff and collaborate with product, development, and operations teams to improve testing outcomes, reliability, and performance, while supporting cloud-based testing on GCP and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5 years of QA or software testing experience.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites across API, web, mobile, and performance testing domains.
• Builds reusable test utilities and frameworks to improve reliability and reduce maintenance.
• Develops mobile test automation including emulator/ simulator and CI/CD integration.
• Applies AI-assisted tooling to support testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Supports scalable cloud-based load testing using Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and related infra.
• Analyzes results, defects, and performance metrics to identify risks and improve quality.
• Integrates automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with reporting and environment management.
• Establishes QA best practices, coding standards, and troubleshooting guidance.
• Reviews pull requests and mentors junior QA analysts across teams.
• Performs other duties as required.
