Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated tests across API, web, mobile, and performance scenarios.

You will build reusable test utilities, enable AI-assisted QA tooling, and integrate tests into CI/CD with scalable cloud-based load testing on Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 5 years of relevant QA/automation experience.
• Experience with API/web/mobile/load testing.
• Experience with CI/CD and cloud-based testing.
• AI-assisted tooling and testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites across API, web, mobile, and performance testing.
• Builds reusable test utilities, fixtures, and frameworks to improve reliability and reduce maintenance.
• Develops mobile test automation including emulator execution and CI/CD integration.
• Develops and applies AI-assisted tooling to support testing and debugging.
• Supports scalable cloud-based load testing using GCP, Kubernetes, and related infra practices.
• Analyzes requirements, results, defects, logs, traces, and performance metrics to identify risks and improvements.
• Integrates automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with reporting and parallel execution.
• Establishes QA best practices, coding standards, and documentation.
• Reviews test automation pull requests and mentors junior QA analysts.
• Performs other duties as required.
