Job summary

OXY, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks an AI Language Model Engineer to drive end-to-end language model projects in the AI Center of Excellence. You will design, develop, and deploy use cases, engaging with clients and teammates across disciplines to deliver robust AI solutions.

Responsibilities include prompt engineering, preprocessing/post-processing, and optimizing multi-agent systems. A PhD and strong Python plus AWS experience are required to advance cutting-edge NLP capabilities.

Qualifications

• PhD in Engineering, CS, Data Science, AI or related field.
• Strong Python skills with version-control experience.
• Proven LLM/NLP background with publications, repos, or portfolio.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Transformers, and vector stores.
• Experience with RAG, multi-agent systems and agentic frameworks.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end design, research, development, and deployment of language use cases with client collaboration.
• Hands-on development in a shared codebase; back-end work with AWS and Terraform; front-end when needed.
• Design workflows for language model deployment; perform prompt engineering, preprocessing, and post-processing.
• Fine-tune and optimize multi-agent systems to meet use case requirements.
• Collaborate with domain experts to assess model quality.
