Alignerr is seeking native Portuguese speakers with a background in language teaching or assessment to help evaluate and improve AI systems for Portuguese learners. This is a remote, hourly contract requiring a minimum of 15 hours per week with fully asynchronous collaboration.

You’ll evaluate AI-generated speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality; assess learner performance from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+; and provide clear, structured feedback to improve AI

Formación

• Native-level proficiency in Portuguese.
• Experience teaching Portuguese or evaluating learner language.
• Fluent in English (C1/C2 level).
• Familiar with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate AI-generated Portuguese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality.
• Assess learner speech and writing across CEFR levels from Pre-A1 through B2+.
• Identify learner errors, unusual phrasing, and pedagogical gaps with expert judgment.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to improve AI tutoring and language-learning models.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.
• Contribute to raising the overall quality and reliability of AI language instruction.

AI Language Expert — Portuguese (AI Training)

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate AI-generated Portuguese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
• Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps with expert judgment
• Provide clear, structured feedback that improves AI tutoring and language-learning models
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts
• Contribute to raising the overall quality and reliability of AI language instruction

Who You Are

• Native-level proficiency in Portuguese
• Experience teaching Portuguese or evaluating learner language
• Fluent in English (C1/C2 level)
• Familiar with learner speech patterns and CEFR frameworks
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with language assessment, curriculum design, or standardized testing
• Exposure to AI-powered language tools or educational technology
• Familiarity with regional Portuguese variations (Brazilian, European, etc.)
• Comfort working independently in structured, asynchronous workflows
