Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking a native Portuguese language expert to help evaluate and improve AI training for Portuguese learners. This remote, hourly contract role focuses on assessing accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality of AI-generated speech and text, from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+.

You’ll contribute structured feedback and collaborate asynchronously with project leads. Minimum 15 hours per week, fully asynchronous, with no AI experience required; a bachelor’s degree or higher is

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Portuguese.
• Experience teaching Portuguese or evaluating learner language.
• Fluent in English (C1/C2).
• Familiar with CEFR frameworks.
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated Portuguese speech and text for accuracy and naturalness.
• Assess learner speech and writing across CEFR levels Pre-A1 through B2+.
• Identify learner errors, pedagogical gaps with expert judgment.
• Provide clear, structured feedback that improves AI tutoring and language models.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate AI-generated Portuguese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
• Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps with expert judgment
• Provide clear, structured feedback that improves AI tutoring and language-learning models
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts
• Contribute to raising the overall quality and reliability of AI language instruction

Who You Are

• Native-level proficiency in Portuguese
• Experience teaching Portuguese or evaluating learner language

• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
