Latham & Watkins seeks an Associate Director of Artificial Intelligence – Knowledge Transformation to lead a team that curates and structures the firm’s transactional precedents and playbooks for AI‑powered systems. You will set strategic roadmaps, build AI-ready knowledge assets, and ensure effective enterprise usage across practice areas.

The role requires deep expertise in knowledge management, taxonomy development, and information architecture, with a strong background in transactional law

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD preferred.
• Minimum of ten years in knowledge management, legal tech, or related field.
• Experience in knowledge engineering and taxonomy development.
• Previous management experience required.
• Experience in transactional legal practice is valued.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the firm’s knowledge transformation strategy and roadmaps.
• Oversee knowledge repositories and AI-ready assets for legal workflows.
• Partner with Innovation Attorneys and AI teams to integrate knowledge into AI tools.
• Establish KPIs, quality metrics, and usage analytics for knowledge assets.
• Protect confidential and proprietary information.
