Job summary

Insight Global in Southlake, Texas is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable Java-based applications and microservices in cloud environments.

You will drive AI-assisted development using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and LLMs, lead modernization from legacy systems to distributed architectures, and mentor engineers while ensuring high availability and robust CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering with Java, Spring, cloud tech and web services.
• 2+ years of hands-on AI/ML implementation and production deployment.
• Experience with microservices, containers, CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or PCF).
• Experience with Large Language Models such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar.
• Experience with system modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.
• Knowledge of broker-dealer operations or financial services platforms.

Required Experience

• Experience working with Large Language Models such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar technologies.
• Experience with system modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions in a collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of broker-dealer operations or financial services platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial services industry experience.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies.
• Background in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and QA automation.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
