Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AI Intern to support Industry 4.0 initiatives at our Innovation Center in Chicago. The role involves designing and testing digital manufacturing solutions, with hands-on exposure to MES/SCADA/PLC systems and AI model training.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, prepare demos for client visits, and stay up‑to‑date on digital manufacturing trends. The internship lasts 8 weeks starting October 2026, with a $25/hour rate and CPT/OPT constraints.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in a STEM field.
• Ability to work part-time, 20 hours per week.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven teamwork and leadership capabilities, with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement digital manufacturing use cases with cross-functional teams.
• Gain hands-on experience with MES, SCADA, PLCs, sensors, cameras, and cobots/robots.
• Train AI models by creating data, documents, images, and videos for model training.
• Support client visits and tours by preparing and running demos and documenting topics.
• Stay current with advancements in digital manufacturing technologies.
