Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AI Intern to support Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing projects, using AI, ML, IoT, analytics, and AWS IoT to improve machine performance and quality. You will join the Manufacturing Innovation Center team in Cognizant's Innovation Center in MxD, Chicago.

The role involves designing, configuring, testing, and documenting digital manufacturing use cases, gaining hands-on experience with MES, SCADA, PLCs, sensors, cameras, and cobots, and training models with real data.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a STEM bachelor's degree program.
• Ability to work part-time, 20 hours per week.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and client-service mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement digital manufacturing use cases with cross-functional teams.
• Gain hands-on experience with MES, SCADA, PLCs, sensors, cameras, and cobots.
• Train AI models by creating data, documents, images, and videos.
• Prepare and run demos for client visits and help with AV and streaming.
• Stay current with advancements in digital manufacturing technologies and meet client needs.
