Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking an AI Intern for our Wheatland, PA site, May–Aug 2027. You’ll support AI-enabled process improvements and work with HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, IT, and Marketing to analyze workflows and document opportunities.

You will help prepare process maps, pilot automation initiatives, and assist with training materials while tracking basic KPIs under guidance. This paid internship offers hands-on engineering exposure in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BA/BS/MS in a relevant field; strong interest in AI and digital transformation.
• Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio or Lucidchart preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with documenting current-state business processes and identifying inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement (≤140 chars)
• Support analysis of workflows and data to inform AI, automation, or digitization initiatives (≤140 chars)
• Prepare process maps, summaries, and presentations for cross-functional stakeholders (≤140 chars)
• Assist with pilot projects related to automation, AI tools, or digital productivity solutions (≤140 chars)
• Support training materials and internal communications on AI adoption (≤140 chars)
• Track project progress, basic KPIs, and outcomes under supervision (≤140 chars)
