Job description

We are a rapidly growing healthcare provider and payor analytics company that recently closed our Series B funding round. Our mission is to transform healthcare through data-driven insights that improve patient outcomes while reducing costs. With our recent funding, we're scaling our team to meet increasing demand from healthcare systems and insurance providers nationwide.

About the Role

We are seeking an AI Integration Lead to spearhead our efforts in leveraging Large Language Model (LLM) technologies across our analytics platform and internal business operations. Reporting directly to the CTO, this role will bridge technical expertise with healthcare domain knowledge to identify, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions that enhance our analytics capabilities and drive measurable value for our healthcare and insurance customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and recommend LLM tools and platforms that align with our healthcare analytics objectives while ensuring compliance with industry regulations
  • Design and implement LLM-powered features to enhance our provider and payor analytics platform
  • Identify opportunities to streamline internal business processes through AI automation
  • Collaborate with product teams to define AI feature roadmaps that address specific healthcare analytics use cases
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure successful integration and deployment of LLM solutions
  • Develop prompt engineering strategies optimized for healthcare terminology and data patterns
  • Create frameworks for evaluating LLM performance in healthcare contexts
  • Establish governance procedures around responsible AI use with sensitive healthcare data
  • Stay current with rapidly evolving AI/LLM technologies and methodologies in healthcare
  • Educate stakeholders across the organization on LLM capabilities and limitations
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, data science, or machine learning engineering
  • 2+ years of product management or solutions architecture experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with LLMs or other AI technologies
  • Strong understanding of API integration and software development principles
  • Experience translating technical capabilities into healthcare business value propositions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to healthcare stakeholders
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Familiarity with healthcare data and compliance requirements (HIPAA, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing AI solutions in healthcare analytics environments
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering and optimization techniques for clinical or claims data
  • Familiarity with common LLM platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
  • Understanding of AI ethics and privacy considerations specific to healthcare data
  • Experience with agile methodologies and rapid prototyping in a growth-stage company
  • Track record of successful healthcare product launches or business process improvements
  • Background in healthcare data analytics, provider operations, or insurance

  • Multi-modal AI Systems: Explore capabilities that process text, medical images, and structured health data for comprehensive insights
  • Fine-tuning & Prompt Engineering Frameworks: Utilize tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom solutions optimized for healthcare terminology
  • Vector Databases: Implement solutions for semantic search and retrieval of medical concepts and relationships
  • AI Orchestration Platforms: Work with tools that manage AI workflows while maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Healthcare-specific AI Tools: Integrate specialized models designed for medical terminology, clinical data, and healthcare workflows
  • Data Privacy & Security Tools: Implement advanced techniques for maintaining data security when working with PHI
