Shift Technology in Boston is seeking a Strategic Communications Director to elevate the company's profile across Tier-1 business and technology media and position the CEO as a leading voice in AI and insurtech.

This role will own the CEO's communications platform, secure speaking opportunities at premier events, and develop a compelling corporate narrative across marketing, product, and leadership with executive presence.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive communications experience in senior tech or PR agency roles.
• Proven track record securing feature coverage in tier-1 business/tech media.
• Strong ability to develop CEOs as media figures and thought leaders.
• Strong network of journalist, editor, and producer relationships at top outlets.
• Successful in securing executive speaking slots at major industry conferences.
• Exceptional writing skills for speeches, op-eds, and messaging frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Drive Tier-1 media coverage with senior journalist relationships and proactive pitching.
• Elevate CEO visibility through speeches, interviews, and keynote opportunities.
• Shape Shift's strategic narrative in partnership with CMO/CEO and across departments.
• Advise leadership and manage communications strategy and high-stakes announcements.
