Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Network Engineer for the Starshield AI infrastructure in Washington, DC. You will own the data center network design, deploy high-speed connectivity for AI clusters, and collaborate with ML teams to optimize interconnects and security.

You will lead deployments, monitor performance, implement automation, and support secure, scalable networks for national security missions with Top Secret clearance and willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical/engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of professional networking experience deploying enterprise network solutions.
• 1+ year deploying enterprise networking solutions and/or cloud and GPU networks.

Responsibilities

• Manage network infrastructure and deployments to Top Secret data centers.
• Design, validate, and productize high-speed copper and optical connectivity for AI clusters (100k+ GPU scale).
• Collaborate with ML teams to translate workload patterns into interconnect topology requirements.
• Contribute to tools for rapid deployments (ZTP / custom provisioning).
• Improve network performance and reliability via capacity planning and remediation.
• Assist in capacity augmentation and deployment optimization.
• Lead network integration and troubleshooting efforts.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and network engineers to improve Starshield network design.
• Update system configuration and firmware.
• Build automation for network devices and deployment tools.
