Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Network Engineer for the Starshield AI infrastructure project in Redmond. You will own the data center network design and deployments, collaborating with ML teams to map workloads to interconnect topology and optical configurations.

You’ll drive automation, performance, and security improvements across top-secret environments. The role requires experience with Layer-1 networking, hardware deployments, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of related networking experience.
• 1+ year of networking experience with enterprise/cloud/GPU networks.
• Layer-1 experience with transport, DWDM, fiber.
• Hands-on deployment of networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).

Responsibilities

• Manage network infra in top-secret data centers.
• Design high-speed copper and optical connectivity for AI clusters.
• Collaborate with ML teams to map workloads to interconnects.
• Develop deployment tools and automation for rapid provisioning (ZTP).
• Improve performance, reliability, and capacity planning.
• Lead integration and troubleshooting efforts.
• Update system configurations and firmware.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and network engineers.
