Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Software Engineer for its Agent Infrastructure team in a hybrid role spanning San Francisco, NYC, or London. You will build and scale systems to train powerful agentic models, deploy production platforms, and work closely with researchers to push AI infrastructure forward at unprecedented scale.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building AI infrastructure at scale with researchers.
• Able to design and scale high-performance systems for agentic models.
• Experience with large-scale ML infrastructure and training at scale.

Responsibilities

• Push massive compute clusters to their limits, building a novel in-house container orchestration platform.
• Develop and maintain FastAPI and gRPC APIs for agentic infrastructure used in training and production.
• Use Terraform to stand up and evolve infrastructure for research and production.
• Collaborate with research teams to optimize systems for AI training runs and experimental apps.
