Job summary

Heaven Hill Brands is seeking an AI Infrastructure Analyst to oversee the day-to-day operation of our AI platform on Azure from our Louisville office. The role focuses on platform operations, monitoring, and support, not data science.

You will manage access controls, runbooks, and automation to improve reliability and enable project teams. This is an office-based role with potential after-hours maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years in IT operations, cloud support, or platform operations.
  • Hands-on Azure administration, monitoring, IAM, and automation experience.
  • Proficiency with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, dashboards, and KQL.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operation of AI platform services and Azure resources.
  • Monitor dashboards, alerts, logs, traces, and respond to incidents per runbooks.
  • Document runbooks, change records, and enable users.
  • Assist with onboarding, deployments, validation, and rollback.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering on security, networking, and identity.

Job description

This is an office based position in Louisville, KY.

What The Role Is

The AI Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for the day‑to‑day administration, support, monitoring, and operational reliability of AI platform services and supporting Azure resources. This role works closely with Infrastructure Engineering to maintain a secure, stable, and supportable AI platform environment. The Analyst independently manages routine platform work and contributes to non‑routine troubleshooting, deployment support, documentation, and user enablement. This role focuses on AI platform operations and support, not data science or model development.

The focus of this role is on AI platform operations, Azure administration, monitoring, and supportability.

How You Will Spend Your Time?
Standard Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Support the day-to-day operation of AI platform services and related Azure resources, including access controls, service identities, secrets, registries, workspaces, and supporting compute or container services as applicable.
  • Monitor dashboards, alerts, logs, traces, and service health for AI workloads and respond to incidents in accordance with runbooks, support procedures, and escalation paths.
  • Execute operational tasks such as onboarding support, access changes, configuration updates, endpoint checks, deployment validation, certificate or secret rotations, and documentation maintenance.
  • Partner with Infrastructure Engineering on shared dependencies involving networking, identity, security controls, certificates, backup and recovery, and platform availability.
  • Maintain documentation, runbooks, operating checklists, knowledge articles, and change records that support consistent AI platform operations.
  • Contribute to scripting, automation, and process improvements that reduce manual effort and improve service reliability.
  • Support platform users, project teams, and vendors by providing operational assistance, issue triage, and escalation when needed.
  • Participate in after‑hours maintenance activities and incident response as assigned.
Level‑Specific Responsibilities
  • Administer and support AI platform services and supporting Azure resources used for AI‑related workloads.
  • Monitor platform health, service availability, alerts, logs, traces, and performance metrics; investigate and resolve routine issues and elevate more complex issues when needed.
  • Provision, maintain, and document Azure resources related to AI platform support, including resource groups, service identities, key management, registries, storage, and supporting services as applicable.
  • Support platform deployments, configuration changes, release validation, and rollback activities using established change management practices.
  • Troubleshoot platform, access, connectivity, and service issues across AI‑related infrastructure and supporting components.
  • Maintain and improve operational documentation, runbooks, standard procedures, and support knowledge for AI platform services.
  • Support identity, access, and governance processes for AI platform users, service accounts, and application integrations.
  • Build and maintain basic automation, scripting, and operational tooling to improve repeatability, visibility, and support efficiency.
  • Partner with Infrastructure Engineering on shared dependencies involving networking, security, identity, certificates, storage, and enterprise platform services.
  • Support onboarding of new AI platform capabilities by helping validate operational readiness, monitoring coverage, and support processes.
Who You Are…
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, technical training, certifications, and professional experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in IT operations, cloud support, systems administration, platform or application support, monitoring, or another production technology environment.
  • Hands‑on experience or practical training in one or more areas such as Azure administration, monitoring and alerting, identity and access management, scripting and automation, containers, or platform support. Direct AI platform experience is valued but not required.
  • Working knowledge of cloud resource administration, monitoring concepts, access controls, change practices, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to independently manage recurring operational work, follow established standards, document results, and elevate non‑routine issues appropriately.
  • Strong problem‑solving, written documentation, communication, and cross‑team collaboration skills.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or comparable demonstrated Azure administration experience.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals or comparable foundational knowledge of AI services in Azure.
  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, dashboards, alert rules, tracing, or KQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Entra ID, Key Vault, container registries, app registrations, service principals, or secure service‑access patterns.
  • Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Git‑based workflows, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, container platforms, deployment pipelines, or AI platform‑adjacent tools such as workspaces, notebooks, or model tracking.
  • After‑hours maintenance activities, incident response, and scheduled support coverage may be required.
