Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Acquisition Specialist to support a large-scale AI R&D infrastructure program in Chantilly, VA. The role requires extensive DoD/IC acquisition experience, management of task orders, and close collaboration with government and program staff.

You will monitor performance, manage CDRLs, coordinate across contract mechanisms, and prepare modification packages as requirements mature. A TS-SCI with polygraph is required, with on-site work and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Active TS SCI w/Polygraph.
• Minimum 9 years of experience with a Bachelor's, 7 years with a Master’s, or 4 years with a PhD/JD in acquisition programs.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, contract types and acquisition processes.
• IDIQ/task order contract management and modification processes.
• Contractor performance monitoring and assessment.
• SOW/PWS analysis and modification development.
• CDRL management and deliverable tracking.
• Budgetary processes and obligation tracking across contract ceiling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted Acquisition Advisor to Government and Program staff.
• Support task order development, evaluation, and award for follow-on capabilities.
• Monitor contractor performance against SOW/PWS and milestones.
• Track CDRLs and deliverables; support technical evaluation of submissions.
• Coordinate across multiple contract mechanisms (IDIQ, network connectivity, data management).
• Prepare contract modification packages as requirements mature.
• Coordinate with financial teams on obligation tracking and accounting treatment.
• Develop acquisition status briefs and risk assessments for leadership.
• Maintain contract documentation and lessons learned.
