Akina, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 1 to help build and maintain AI infrastructure tools and applications. You will work on AI tooling, ensure reliability and security, and collaborate with customers to tailor solutions.

The role requires 3+ years SWE experience, a CS degree, and proficiency in Python and OO languages. Familiarity with UI/UX, LLM workflows, and cloud services is valued. On-site in Annapolis Junction, MD with TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Three years of SWE experience in similar scope is required.
• Experience with Python or other OO language.
• Familiarity with UI/UX principles and LLMs in code workflows.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality AI tools and applications for the workforce to use.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, performance, and security of AI tools.
• Modify Free and Open-Source Software to fit customer use cases.
• Regularly engage with customers to elicit requirements and develop solutions.
• Maintain existing customer-facing infrastructure and applications.
