The Information seeks an exceptional reporter to cover OpenAI—the company behind ChatGPT—and its leaders, products, and policy battles from our San Francisco newsroom. You will own the tech-beat, build trusted sources, and tell stories that shape business, policy, and everyday life.

You don't need a tech background; you should be able to turn complex AI developments into compelling narratives while collaborating with veteran journalists across desks and industries.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of breaking news and building high-level sources.
• Fierce curiosity about power, money, and how institutions work; tech background is a plus.
• Ability to translate complex issues into clear, compelling narratives.
• Willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area and work in a hybrid model.

Responsabilités
