Job summary
Amazon in Cupertino, CA is seeking a senior hardware engineer to define and validate server architectures for AI/ML workloads. You will drive cross-functional design reviews, validate high-speed interconnects, and own fleet-level quality initiatives across the AWS GPU-accelerated hardware platform.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of equivalent hardware engineering experience.
- Experience in defining specifications and test procedures.
- Deep expertise in server technologies: thermal, mechanical, power and signal integrity.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical/computer engineering or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Define server architectures based on workload demand and customer requirements.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive designs.
- Drive design reviews with ODM/JDM partners covering schematic, layout, BOM, and DFx.
- Define and execute validation strategies from PCBA bring-up through server and rack integration.
- Own hardware debugging during EVT/DVT/PVT builds and perform root cause analysis.
- Monitor fleet quality metrics and drive design or process improvements.
- Collaborate with firmware, software, and operations teams to ensure debuggable designs.
- May travel <10% to partner sites.
