Qualifications

• Experience in policy communications handling complex security or governance topics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics for broad audiences.
• Experience in issues management and developing reactive communications under pressure and tight timelines.
• Strong executive management skills and a proven ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
• A track record of building media relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications strategies for AI security, governance, and responsible scaling.
• Drive external communications about governance structures, LTBT, and public benefit status.
• Partner with security, product, legal, governance, and RSP leaders on sensitive, fast-moving matters.
• Communicate regulatory frameworks and transparency obligations, including public reporting commitments.
• Manage reactive inbound media requests on security and governance topics.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists and influencers.
• Prepare executives for media interviews and public appearances, developing thought leadership.
• Write blogs, statements, talking points, and materials explaining our work clearly and accurately.
• Support reactive communications with speed, accuracy, and sound judgment.
