Job summary

Nimbus Consulting is seeking an experienced AI SME to support the AI Cross-Cutting Initiative, driving collaboration and governance across the agency. The AI SME will help advance infrastructure, ensure interoperable AI/ML solutions, and align with data governance and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates will have deep experience in AI architecture, enterprise technology strategy, and strong stakeholder engagement to translate complex concepts for diverse teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of experience in technology or engineering domains.
• 8+ years in AI/ML architecture, data engineering, or enterprise technology strategy.
• Experience developing or implementing AI governance frameworks within large organizations.
• Strong understanding of federal data governance, privacy, and ethical AI principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current AI usage patterns across the agency and assess integration with enterprise infrastructure.
• Provide technical guidance and governance support to AI projects and initiatives.
• Participate in technical reviews to ensure IT and AI projects meet security and governance standards.
• Engage with stakeholders to align AI/ML initiatives with organizational priorities and communicate complex concepts clearly.
