Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager to lead AI/ML initiatives within financial services. You will drive governance, ethics, and compliance across projects, while guiding diverse teams of data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers to successful, on-time delivery.

You will coordinate with legal, risk, and architecture groups, report to executives, and champion responsible AI practices. A growth mindset and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
• 7+ years of experience in technical project management, with at least 3 years managing AI/ML projects.
• Strong blend of project management, technical understanding, and exceptional communication skills.
• Deep understanding of AI governance frameworks, ethics, and regulatory compliance for financial services.
• Experience in Agile environments and Scrum Master duties.
• Proven ability to plan, track, and deliver complex technical projects on time and within budget.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to senior leadership and diverse stakeholders.
• Capability to coordinate with technical, business, legal, and compliance teams to secure approvals.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to discuss architectural decisions with engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Management: Lead multiple technical AI projects, defining scope, goals, deliverables, and resources.
• AI Governance & Responsible AI Compliance: Integrate governance and ethical principles throughout the project lifecycle.
• Documentation & Approval Management: Create and maintain necessary documentation to secure approvals.
• Planning, Execution & Delivery: Develop plans, track milestones, manage risks, and ensure delivery.
• Agile and Scrum Master Responsibilities: Facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, and foster collaboration.
• Technical Team Communication: Translate business requirements into technical tasks for data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers.
• Stakeholder Communication & Reporting: Provide status updates and executive summaries to leadership.
• Conflict Resolution: Address impediments and interpersonal issues to maintain momentum.
• Accountability & Commitment: Maintain accountability for outcomes and align with business objectives.
• Forward Thinking & Driving Priorities: Identify opportunities for improvement and drive strategic AI priorities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to global development teams.
• Review system designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and standards.
• Collaborate with risk, technology leadership to define strategic tech solutions.
• Assess technology risks and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Support production stability, performance, and platform modernization initiatives.
