Job summary

Visionist is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer (AI Focus) on a fully funded opportunity for a major PRIME contract. You will join a team of analysts and engineers delivering AI-powered tools on real-time operations, with a mission-focused culture and growth opportunities.

Applicants should have a technical degree and extensive software experience, including Python and AI/NLP, plus production-grade systems for large user bases. Security clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (4 years may substitute).
12 years of Software Engineering experience.
Strong Python and AI/NLP expertise.
Hands-on in production applications servicing hundreds to thousands of users.
Familiar with AI development concepts, including prompt engineering and tool calling.
Experience with modern messaging/event streaming platforms.
Experience using AI coding assistants for code generation and debugging.
Git and Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

Develop agentic integrations with Python that leverage multiple AI models, APIs, and data sources in production.
Build tools and agentic workflows using modern frameworks such as PydanticAI, LangGraph, and DeepAgents.
Collaborate with cyber analysts to understand operational workflows and identify high-impact automation opportunities.
Maintain and troubleshoot a production-grade agentic platform.
