Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking an AI Forward Deployed Engineer to sit at the front lines of fab operations, embedding with business and engineering teams. You will rapidly prototype AI solutions, leveraging Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG to address real-world manufacturing challenges.

You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and IT, delivering production-ready prototypes and documentation. On-site at Phoenix facility with 24/7 operations and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, IS, Data Science, or Industrial Engineering or related field or 3+ years in software development and systems integration.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering and agile development.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools/APIs and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Familiarity with web/app prototyping and database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and vector stores.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and business units to understand daily operations and bottlenecks.
• Design and build AI prototypes and PoCs using Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and AI agents.
• Leverage low-code/no-code AI platforms and APIs to validate solutions with end-users.
• Conduct agile testing and evaluation of prototypes for feasibility and business value.
• Partner with IT and MLOps to productionize successful prototypes.
• Keep up with emerging AI tools and methodologies to accelerate prototyping.
• Document technical details and user guides for handovers and productization.
