Job summary
Yahoo in the United States is seeking a Sr Manager, Software Development Engineering for Yahoo Mail Anti-Spam and Delivery (Finance) to lead a large engineering squad focused on AI-forward detection and reliable message delivery.
You will mentor engineers, define roadmaps, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity while applying AI thoughtfully across products and workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in AI, ML, or GenAI applications relevant to engineering systems, abuse detection, or developer productivity.
Responsibilities
- Lead a large AntiSpam and Delivery engineering squad, accountable for execution, operations, technical quality, and team health.
- Lead the team's evolution into an AI-forward software development team, raising AI fluency and championing thoughtful use of AI to strengthen anti-abuse capabilities and developer effectiveness.
- Own the engineering roadmap for the systems that protect users from spam, phishing, fraud, and abuse, and for the infrastructure that reliably delivers billions of messages a day.
