Ladders, a leader in Pharmaceuticals & Biotech, is seeking an AI Forward Deployed Engineer - Finance-focused (US) to join their team. Remote US-based.

This role blends AI engineering with FP&A, building production-ready apps using LLMs, Databricks, and Python to help finance teams analyze performance and close books.

You will partner with global finance stakeholders, ensuring governance and measurable business impact, with compensation range $121,500 – $240,500 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, CS, IS, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years with Databricks and building data-driven solutions.
• 2+ years of LLM application engineering, including prompt and context engineering.
• 2+ years of Python and full-stack development for production-ready applications.
• 2+ years partnering with Finance teams and FP&A processes.
• Experience with NetSuite, Certinia, and Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, MLflow, and Databricks tools; CRO or pharma-services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-assisted variance commentary and close-checklist solutions to generate insights from financial data.
• Develop experiences using Databricks Genie to enable analysts to explore information through natural language.
• Partner with FP&A Analysts to deliver tools that enhance financial decision-making.
• Measure and report on solution adoption and productivity gains to demonstrate business impact.
• Create reconciliation capabilities that support finance teams while maintaining control ownership.
• Design and deliver AI-enabled applications using Databricks, Python, and modern LLM technologies.
• Ensure solutions align with governance requirements, separating AI-generated recommendations from financial controls.

For our client, we are seeking an AI Forward Deployed Engineer - Finance-focused (US) to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will sit at the intersection of AI engineering and finance operations, helping transform how FP&A teams analyze performance, close the books, and surface actionable insights.

You will build production-ready applications that combine modern LLM techniques, data engineering, and finance process knowledge to improve decision-making and productivity.

The work will involve close partnership with finance stakeholders, global teams, and governance partners to deliver solutions that are useful, controlled, and measurable.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $121,500 – $240,500 annually

• 2+ years of experience working closely with Finance teams, understanding FP&A processes and monthly close activities
• Experience with finance systems like NetSuite, Certinia, and Workday Adaptive Planning
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, MLflow, and Databricks tools; CRO or pharma-services experience preferred
