You will develop modern AI/ML methods, surrogate models, and AI-driven discovery architectures for materials science, chemistry, biology, and related domains with national security implications.

Collaboration with domain experts, publishing in top venues, and engagement with sponsors are key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• PhD in AI, ML, or related field with strong publication record.
• Experience with modern AI/ML methods and architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/JAX).
• Experience with containerized/cloud/HPC environments and distributed computing.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance and ultimately Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI for Science projects with national security implications.
• Develop and evaluate AI methods incl. surrogate models and AI-driven discovery architectures.
• Collaborate with science/engineering domain experts and program managers.
• Publish research and engage with external researchers and sponsors.
