Job summary

Pebl is hiring a Senior Staff Engineer, UI Architect to define the future of our AI-driven UI. You will lead AI experiences, own the design system, and collaborate with AI and platform teams to deliver scalable, accessible interfaces.

Based in Palo Alto, this hybrid role requires collaboration on-site at least 3 days per week. You will shape the architecture and mentor a team of engineers toward high velocity and quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development with strong frontend focus.
• Proven experience in ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Demonstrated design-system ownership and component library work.
• Experience designing AI-first interfaces and agent-driven UI.
• Ability to lead architecture decisions and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-first, user-facing product experiences with AI teams.
• Own A2UI adoption and renderer strategy for agents to UI.
• Define architecture for scalable front-end systems.
• Own design system tokens, theming, and accessibility.
• Mentor engineers and enforce coding standards.
• Collaborate with backend, product, and design to integrate AI surfaces.
