Job summary

Notion is seeking a software engineering intern to contribute to the Notion product from our NY or SF offices. You’ll write clean, secure, tested code and help design features with an AI-first mindset.

You will develop across the full stack, collaborating with teams to build web services, databases, and tools using modern frameworks. Must be pursuing CS/engineering and graduate before Summer 2028.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. Must graduate before Summer 2028.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Typescript, Node.js, or Python.
• Able to work in NY or SF office during the internship term.
• Strong collaboration and cross-functional teamwork mindset.
• AI experience or interest with LLMs, embeddings, ML is a plus.
• User-first mindset with thoughtful problem-solving and communication.
• Not ideological about technology and eager to learn new tech.
• Interest beyond tech such as art, history, or social sciences.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, secure, tested, and documented code.
• Design & enhance the Notion product with an AI first mindset.
• Develop, fix and debug software across our full stack: web services, databases, applications, tools.
