Job summary

Sonar is seeking a passionate product designer to join our Product Design team. You will fundamentally shape the experience of our (agentic and human) users as they build the software of the future.

Qualifications

• Experience organizing complex environments into logical structures and mapping user journeys.
• Practical experience using AI tools to accelerate research, ideation and design velocity.
• Self-starter mindset with the drive to identify UX gaps and propose structural improvements.
• Ability to articulate design decisions and the "why" behind them to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort working in a cross-functional environment with open feedback and teamwork.
• Delivery mindset: influence beyond the handoff and drive end-to-end impact.
• Track record of driving design strategy and establishing scalable patterns.
• Familiarity with software development workflows and the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead product design across your squad, setting direction and raising the bar for craft.
• Design for AI agents as first-class users, including silicon-based users.
• Integrate AI into design workflows to accelerate research and prototyping.
• Understand user and customer needs to enable developers and AI agents to produce better software.
• Collaborate with other designers to ensure cohesive information architecture and experience.
• Partner with product managers and engineers to define problems and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Mentor fellow designers through critique and feedback to grow the team.
