Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC seeks a Principal IT Architect to lead architecture for transmission and development platforms. You will partner with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Cloud teams to modernize technology with an AI-first focus and scalable, secure reference architectures.

You will guide end-to-end ML/AI solution delivery, alignment with enterprise standards, and governance. Senior leadership communication and mentorship are key components of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in IT, software engineering, solution/enterprise architecture, or cloud architecture.
• Proven leadership in architecture for complex enterprise apps or modernization programs.
• Expert knowledge of AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform IaaS.
• Experience designing secure, scalable cloud/hybrid architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define current/target-state architectures for NEET Transmission and NEER Development tech portfolios.
• Develop modernization roadmaps improving scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Lead architecture collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and security teams.
• Guide ML/AI solution design across data, cloud, and security domains.
• Establish reference architectures, patterns, and governance.
