Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a hands-on Principal Data Architect to shape JLL's AI/BI strategy and semantic/context layers across the enterprise.

You will lead design of ontologies, knowledge graphs, and analytics models, partner with product and platform teams, and drive AI-first data consumption using Databricks on Azure or AWS. This senior role requires strong leadership and technical breadth.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of enterprise data architecture or technology leadership.
• Experience in AI/BI, semantic layers, and enterprise ontologies.
• Proficiency with Databricks on Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of Spark, DBT and ETL/ELT patterns.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic AI/BI direction and semantic/context layers for the enterprise.
• Drive data consumption standards and patterns across business units.
• Collaborate with product, platform, and data engineering teams.
• Design ontologies, knowledge graphs, and semantic models for intelligent data discovery.
• Architect analytical data models and dimensional designs for traditional and AI-use cases.
• Lead cloud-native data architecture initiatives using Databricks on Azure/AWS.
• Build AI-first data consumption solutions including Text-to-SQL agents.
• Mentor senior engineers and lead architecture reviews and governance.
