Job summary

Seismic is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to build automation that reduces toil and to mature reliability practices across product and engineering teams.

You will participate in incident management, monitor alerts and SLOs, and work with service owners on production readiness, capacity planning, resilience testing, and disaster recovery. The role also includes applying AI-assisted workflows to improve incident response and trend analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience building automation to reduce toil and improve runbooks.
• Experience implementing reliability practices with product and engineering.
• Knowledge of incident-management lifecycle including detection, escalation and mitigation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows for reliability and incident analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation and tooling to reduce operational toil.
• Contribute to maturing reliability practices with Product & Engineering leaders.
• Participate in the incident-management lifecycle, including detection, engagement, escalation, and mitigation.
• Use alert, incident, and SLO trends to shift from reactive to proactive risk reduction.
• Partner with service owners to ensure production readiness standards are met.
• Provide SRE expertise for capacity planning, resilience testing, and disaster recovery.
• Adopt AI-assisted workflows for alert triage, incident mitigation, and trend analysis.
