Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Research Intern - AI Fellow to contribute to expert image annotation and structured reporting for supervised learning across radiology tasks, including detection and segmentation. You will work with AI scientists, software developers, and clinical researchers to refine models and provide clinical insights.

The role emphasizes radiology experience, particularly Chest CT, dataset curation, and protocol development for multimodal imaging.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in and pursuing studies at a foreign degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution outside the United States OR Has graduated from such an institution no more than 12 months prior to his or her exchange visitor program start date.

Responsibilities

  • Perform expert image annotation and structured reporting to support supervised learning for tasks such as detection, classification, segmentation, and quantification.
  • Collaborate closely with AI scientists, software developers, and clinical researchers to refine model performance and provide clinical insights.
  • Review and validate AI-generated outputs against radiologist standards to assess diagnostic quality and safety.
  • Participate in dataset curation, quality control, and protocol development for multimodal imaging data (e.g., chest X-ray, CT, MRI).

This is a role well suited for a highly motivated student looking to build their skill set and gain hands‑on experience. As a Research Intern - AI Fellow, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform expert image annotation and structured reporting to support supervised learning for tasks such as detection, classification, segmentation, and quantification.
  • Collaborate closely with AI scientists, software developers, and clinical researchers to refine model performance and provide clinical insights.
  • Review and validate AI-generated outputs against radiologist standards to assess diagnostic quality and safety.
  • Participate in dataset curation, quality control, and protocol development for multimodal imaging data (e.g., chest X-ray, CT, MRI).

The base pay range for this position is:

$47,840 - $74,989

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
