Job summary

Siemens Healthineers seeks a Research Intern to work on developing multimodal vision/language/action models for downstream robotic tasks. You will design pipelines that fuse multi-sensor imaging and kinematic signals into unified spatial representations, enabling perception to planning and control through VLA-based policies and AI decision-making frameworks.

This is a role well suited for a highly motivated student looking to build their skill set and gain hands‑on experience. As a Research Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and fine‑tuning multimodal vision/language/action models for downstream robotic tasks
• Designing pipelines that fuse multi-sensor imaging and kinematic signals into unified spatial representations
• Connecting perception to planning and control through VLA‑based policies and agentic AI decision‑making frameworks

This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to develop your skills with Healthineers:

• M.S., Ph.D., or postdoctoral researcher in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with modern deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch)
• Demonstrated research experience in computer vision, deep learning, or multimodal machine learning (e.g., publications, projects, or advanced coursework)

The base pay range for this position is:

$47,840 - $74,989

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
