Valmont is seeking a Manager of AI Engineering to lead a team delivering enterprise AI solutions across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. You will bridge business needs with AI product delivery, establish standards, and drive governance while ensuring security and scalability.

The role requires 3+ years managing technical teams, 8+ years in related fields, and hands-on ML/DL experience with cloud platforms. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field with 8+ years experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams and managing professionals.
• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying AI/ML in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and AI agent architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GA) and modern AI frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise AI Engineering delivering secure, scalable AI solutions with measurable business value.
• Oversee AI engineers/contractors and align use cases with strategic objectives.
• Establish AI engineering standards, ML-OPs, governance, and reusable capabilities.
• Collaborate with IT, Data & Analytics, and operations to productionize AI products.
• Maintain documentation and support responsible AI practices.
