Job summary

Grey Parrot Systems LLC is seeking an experienced AI Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing AI engineering team building production-grade LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows, and AI-integrated enterprise platforms.

You will mentor engineers, own delivery across LLM, RAG, and AI-integrated platforms, review architecture and code, and drive adoption of Claude Code and AI-DLC practices. This is a direct placement with our client.

Qualifications

• 8+ years engineering experience with 3+ years in an AI engineering leadership or team lead role.
• Deep hands-on AI expertise — LLMs, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, LangChain, LangGraph, Claude, or OpenAI.
• Proven ability to lead, grow, and retain high-performing AI engineering teams.
• Hands-on AI-DLC experience — Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and MCP workflows.
• Strong Python proficiency — reviewing and contributing to production-grade AI code.
• Strong Agile delivery management — sprint planning, backlog management, and release governance.
• Excellent stakeholder communication — translating engineering realities to C-suite leadership clearly.

About the Role

This is an engineering leadership role for an AI practitioner who has moved into management without losing their technical edge. You lead from the front — reviewing architecture, unblocking engineers, holding a high bar for quality, and driving delivery across LLM, RAG, and agentic engineering workstreams. You use Claude Code and AI-DLC practices daily — and you teach your team to do the same. This is a direct placement — the selected candidate joins the client full-time.
