Job summary

Capital One's Masters, AI Engineering Internship Program is a full‑time paid internship spanning twelve weeks from June through August. The program requires you to be located in the continental United States with in‑person attendance at your assigned location under Capital One’s hybrid model.

Interns will be evaluated for a full‑time position with their team, with potential for an employer immigration sponsorship for a future AI Engineer role.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree with expected completion by Aug 2028 or earlier.
• Must continue in the same course of study after internship.
• At least 6 months experience or academic work in developing AI/ML algorithms or technologies.
• At least 6 months experience or academic work programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Partner deeply with cross‑functional teams to prototype and ship AI‑native products.
• Research, prototype, and productionalize high‑impact AI systems, including multimodal search and NLP.
• Design and optimize the AI stack infrastructure from training pipelines to inference optimization and guardrails.
• Leverage AWS Ultraclusters, PyTorch, and leading‑edge agentic frameworks with top developer tools.
• Architect agentic workflows enabling autonomous navigation of tools and multi‑step reasoning.
