Job summary

RTX is offering an AI/ML Summer Internship designed to give students hands-on experience in designing, developing, and testing Python applications with ML, Generative AI, NLP, and computer vision techniques. You will work with engineers on data science, model development, and DevOps on cloud platforms while receiving mentorship and feedback.

You will gain exposure to real-world projects, present your work to AI teams and leadership, and build communication skills through collaborative learning

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with AI concepts, tools, and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with skilled engineers to design, develop, and test Python applications utilizing advanced techniques such as Machine Learning, Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Simulation, XR/VR, and more.
• Gain hands-on experience with Data Science, Model Development & Experimentation, Applied Machine Learning, MLOps, DevOps and Cloud Platforms.
• Participate in code reviews and demos to provide and receive constructive feedback.
• Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing software applications.
• Contribute ideas and solutions in team discussions and brainstorming sessions.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on‑site, hybrid or remote.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
