Job summary

Univera Healthcare in Rochester, NY, invites applications for Fall 2026 College Internships in AI Engineering (Finance). The paid co‑op offers mentors, development workshops, and projects across IT, Analytics & Data, Finance, Marketing, and more.

Interns gain hands‑on experience with AI, NLP, and data‑driven population health initiatives. Selected students will contribute to real projects, present results at internship end, and benefit from exposure to CMS compliance and industry‑leading tooling

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field with good academic standing.
• Experience with NLP, ML, or AI concepts is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be enrolled full-time and maintain good academic standing.

Responsibilities

• Scale current models to identify HCCs and support data-driven population health features.
• Extract and leverage clinical data.
• Enhance NLP/ML solutions with AI for predictive accuracy and CMS coding compliance.
• Work with a mentor on strategic projects.
• Deliver a final presentation at internship end.
• Collaborate across non-technical and technical tracks.
