Position

AI Engineer Intern (Summer 2026) – Hybrid (Leawood, KS) or Remote.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI Engineers, data scientists, AI architects, and quality engineers to develop and deploy AI models and systems powering innovative learning solutions.
• Translate business challenges into technical AI solutions.
• Design and develop scalable AI solutions that integrate with existing products and services.
• Build interactive demos and proof‑of‑concept applications to showcase AI solutions and their business impact.
• Evaluate and integrate new AI technologies and tools into the tech stack.
• Leverage Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Search, Azure ML) for developing and deploying AI solutions.
• Document thoroughly and manage project requirements, data, and technical details for continuity and future reference.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong programming skills in Python with knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns.
• Basic understanding of NLP concepts; experience with transformer‑based models is a plus.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs), LangChain, and prompt engineering is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure AI services and Azure ML.
• Strong problem‑solving, conceptual thinking, and effective communication skills.

Location

This position will ideally work hybrid from our Leawood, KS office. Remote candidates will be considered.
